Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot provided players with an incredible single-player experience that allowed them to relive the greatness that was the Dragon Ball Z anime. This included rare moments like Raditz's first battle and filler episodes like Goku and Piccolo getting their driver's licences. Nevertheless, some fans are wanting to see multiplayer of some sort added into the game through an update or DLC, but others understandably have reservations about this. Multiplayer is a broad category, and there are certainly some types of multiplayer that would help or hurt the game far more than others would.

For those unaware, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is strictly single player. There is no option for player versus player fights, no co-op, and not even any kind of online features. This was actually touted as a benefit during production because it meant the team could focus on crafting an exquisite single player Dragon Ball experience amidst a sea of multi-player Dragon Ball games. Now that the game is out, though, and most have at least beaten its main story, fans are looking for some way to imbue Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot with more longevity, and multiplayer seems to be the most obvious answer.

PvP in DBZ: Kakarot

The biggest problem with including PvP in any game is balance. Games like Dragon Ball FighterZ are entirely built on the concept of competitive multiplayer, but require frequent updates to balance characters, shake up the meta, and keep the game enjoyable. While this is fine for a game in this genre, it would not flow well in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which is much more story oriented than anything. If developers were spending all their time balancing characters so that players could battle each other, not as much care would go into producing DLC content or adapting Dragon Ball Super.
That said, if PVP were to be added to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, it would likely be very small in nature. No changes to the combat system should be expected, meaning that certain techniques like Vegeta's Big Bang Attack would likely dominate. Additionally, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has only five playable characters (not including Vegito or Gotenks), which in terms of fighting games is an extremely limited roster. Put simply, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot wasn't built to support this kind of gameplay, and that's okay. If competitive multiplayer were added, it would likely be just as an aside for players to try a couple times before digging back into the story and side quests.

Cooperative Play in DBZ: Kakarot

Including a co-op multiplayer game mode seems much more feasible for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. This game is built on the concepts of PvE, and it is unlikely that any DLC or update will change that core fact. With co-op multiplayer, though, that doesn't have to change. Players can still work together to face down the many enemies found in the Dragon Ball Z story, and there is already precedent in the game for such a thing given that the player can enter battle with up to two party members at a time.
If this were to be implemented, it stands to reason that other players would take control of one of the support characters in the party. Whether or not they would be limited to playing the characters which are currently playable or if purely support characters like Krillin and Android 18 would be made playable in DBZ: Kakarot is anyone's guess. The former seems like the easier solution in terms of workload for developers, but would make those support characters even more obsolete than they already were.
There are a few problems with this, however. Although there are several opportunities for the player to gang up on enemies three to one, keen-eyed players will notice that the AI often doesn't do this. Support characters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot take a much more supportive, less direct role in combat usually, hanging back and firing long range blasts, helping to keep foes busy so the player doesn't get ganged up on, and only really jumping in to help the player get out of a combo. This kind of behavior is intended so that the computer controlled characters don't get in the way of the player, ruining combos and strategies, but still seem useful.
A human player is not in any way likely to behave like this. It's very possible that if two players decide to gang up on one enemy that they could knock the enemy out of the other player's attacks or cause similar problems. This admittedly could be mostly circumvented with good communication among players but is a problem nonetheless. Additionally, since party size currently can't exceed three, there is the matter of how many players the game would support. It would seem strange to only allow two players if there's already a third CPU floating about, but there aren't a lot of three player games.

Should Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Get A Multiplayer DLC Update?

It seems safe to say that, after a rocky start, Mortal Kombat 11's first Kombat Pack has been a big hit. With the likes of Sindel, Terminator, and most recently the Joker (among others) each being a superb addition to the roster, Mortal Kombat 11 is in even better shape now than when it launched, and that's saying something. There's no such thing as a perfect game, but there is such thing as a great game that continuously gets better, and that's where this gory-fighting game falls.

However, that's not to say that Mortal Kombat 11 is any where near complacency; in fact, with Mortal Kombat 11's Spawn releasing soon, many are curious as to how the first Kombat Pack will end. And it seems like it will be with a major hit, if past releases and the hype around Spawn is any indication.

MK11 Spawn Release Date

Now, it is known the MK11 Spawn gameplay trailer will be revealed at Final Kombat 2020 on March 8th. Fans can reasonably expect a close look at the character, including his combos, a Fatal Blow or two, a fatality, and perhaps a couple of skins. This will be the real test of Spawn's hype, which seems likely to get an A+, and then Spawn will release just a short time later.
MK 11 Kombat Pack owners will get their hands on Spawn first starting March 17, with the full release happening on March 24. That means, as of the time of this writing, it's only a month until the full release, 3 weeks or so until the Kombat Pack release, and roughly 2 weeks until the first gameplay trailer is shown. And as the old idiom goes, "time flies when you're having fun," so for Mortal Kombat 11 fans, it's likely the time will fly by prior to Spawn's release.
It'll be interesting to see how Spawn plays into the greater world of Mortal Kombat 11's meta tier list, how he got into the world in the first place, and what his style of gameplay is, but that's not to say the hype train ends with Spawn.

MK11 Kombat Pack 2

The release of Spawn means the future of Mortal Kombat 11 is being paved. Spawn could end the first Kombat Pack on a high note, which will seriously influence how successful the rumored but not officially confirmed Kombat Pack 2 will be. There's a possible breather between releases, but it's also possible that new characters keep being churned out, meaning the next could release as early as May 2020 based on Kombat Pack patterns.
Right now, it's all but officially confirmed that Fujin, Sheeva, and Ash Williams from the Evil Dead will be included. Other MK11 Kombat Pack 2 rumors suggest that any of the following could be included: Halloween's Michael Myers, Stryker, Havik, or Takeda. It's worth taking these last few characters with a grain of salt, as while the first three mentioned come from a reliable pre-release leak, these others have only surfaced recently.
Either way, while Spawn may be the end of the first Kombat Pack, he can also be seen as the leader who will set the tone for Kombat Pack 2. With Spawn's MK11 release date right around the corner, the future seems bright...from a gory and hellish perspective, that is.

Mortal Kombat 11's Spawn Release Date Will Be Here Before You Know It

Throughout the God of War series, Kratos comes across a great number of enemies but very few friends by comparison. Indeed, the former slave war general and right hand man of Ares, the god of war in Greek mythos, has rarely interacted with people or gods who he wasn’t intending on killing or using. His path in God of War was a brutal and destructive one, which resulted in the deaths of his mortal family, his family of gods, and the annihilation of Greece.
In the hit 2018 PS4 game, his experiences across the Nordic realm of gods and monsters led him to turn over a new leaf, mostly because of his son Atreus. Now, one character that he indirectly interacted with was the god Tyr, who ironically holds the same occupation that Kratos did even though they embody polar opposite ideologies. Whereas Kratos, successor to the brutal Ares, was an angry and destructive god of war, Tyr is described in the game as being a god of war who strived for peace.
Kratos also finds out about the history between Tyr and Faye before he showed up in this realm which makes one wonder if Tyr will appear in the sequel to God of War as either friend or foe.

Most accounts of Tyr come from the Romanization of Norse gods (mostly from the Roman equivalent to Tyr -Mars). On a side note, the word Tuesday is derived from this Roman-Nordic alteration and Tyr is directly linked to the day for that reason. Personality-wise, Tyr is described as being an honorable god who made great efforts to secure peaceful resolutions to big issues. Indeed, he was the god of war, law, and justice.
His problem-solving ways are exemplified in the tale he is known most for - the binding of Fenrir. It was a monstrous wolf-like creature that was raised as a pup by the gods, particularly Odin, whose existence could bring about Ragnarok. As Fenrir kept growing, the gods decided to chain him up so that he wouldn’t be able to cause the foretold apocalypse. Fenrir grew suspicious of the chains and demanded one of the gods offer a sign of good faith by placing their hand in his mouth. Ever the problem solver, Tyr volunteered and when Fenrir discovered that his binds were magically sealed and thus inescapable, he bit off Tyr’s hand.

Tyr's Role in God of War

Tyr, like Faye, plays a significant role in God of War even though he isn’t in the game. Kratos and Atreus have to go through Tyr’s vault during the game in order to find the unity stone, which allows them to access the hidden gate of Jotunheim. Tyr came into possession of the stone when he gained the trust of the giants of the realm, who broke off connection to the Lake of Nine, the central hub of the game, after they banished Odin for plotting against them (which he hasn’t stopped doing).
Tyr and Faye, a giant of the realm (and original owner of the Leviathan axe), worked together to sever the path to Jotunheim to block Odin’s access to it. Their connection is just more proof that Kratos will eventually meet his Nordic counterpart.

All that is currently known of Tyr’s status in the story of God of War is that he was imprisoned by Odin for his betrayal. In the sequel to God of War, it’s highly likely that Kratos is going to meet Tyr one way or the other. In fact, Kratos and Atreus could even work together to help bust Tyr out of his imprisonment or something similar. If Kratos is eventually going to try and kill Odin just as he did with Zeus, he could certainly use Tyr’s help. Tyr is Odin’s son so Kratos could even give him some pointers on patricide.
Also, Tyr is able to travel in between mythological realms as is evident by the relics in his vault that appear to be from other places like Egypt, Japan, etc., so maybe after Kratos presumably kills all of the Norse gods (whether on purpose or not), Tyr can send him to a different realm entirely. One can also imagine the possibility of Kratos re-emerging as the force of destruction that he was known for, resulting in a rift between him and Tyr.
Maybe after a fight between them, Tyr will send Kratos off to another realm (like in Egypt or Japan) just to get rid of him, thus creating a new path for Kratos to tread. In any case, Tyr has enough of a claim to make an appearance in the sequel to God of War.

God of War 2: Will [SPOILER] be Friend or Foe?

With Rainbow Six Siege's Season 5 officially up and running, there are some major changes coming to the game coming this year. Yet despite Siege's biggest tournament being in its rear view mirror, the game seems to have started out its marathon of new content and changes after such a big event with a bit of a face plant.
Said face plant concerns one of the Operators in particular, who goes by the code name Clash. As one of Rainbow Six Siege's Defender Operators, she brings a powerful riot shield to battle that is completely impenetrable to enemy fire, allowing her to become a living wall when necessary. The shield can also electrify foes, stunning them momentarily. Certainly useful, but it has become more useful than it was supposed to be as of late.

Clash has been removed from the game due to a bug with her shield that made it very over-powered. The shield is meant to be impenetrable both ways, but the bug allowed Clash's teammates to fire their weapons through it from her side (the safe side) of the shield. This allowed one or two Clash players to form a nigh-on invincible mobile turret for a teammate that could easily mow down stunned foes. This removal comes only a few months after Clash was re-introuced to Siege after a different bug fix.

In fact, this marks the third time that Clash has been removed from Siege for what was supposed to be a quick bug fix. Astoundingly, each removal has been for an entirely different bug, with the first allowing her to fire her primary while holding her shield (she is not supposed to be able to do that) and the second showing her shield extended while she actually had her primary weapon drawn. Needless to say, many players are already suspecting she may soon get a Tachanka style rework.
The fact that Siege has problems of this level is definitely not a good look on a competitive shooter, especially not one that has been around as long as Siege and with such a dedicated community. No one wants Siege to transition into the next console generation with an Operator who continuously has to be removed every few months, especially players who have paid for that Operator.
The big hope is that, one way or another, this will be the last time Clash makes an exit from the game due to bugs related to her mechanics, but considering she's been a problem from the start, chances are no one is holding their breath. There is still a lot of time for things to be turned around, and a whole lot of changes are scheduled for Siege Seasons 5 and 6, so whether she just gets fixed, or gets a full rework, there are few reasons to be pessimistic about her return to the game. Only time will tell.

Rainbow Six Siege Operator Being Deactivated for Third Time

Last November, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts released Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Since then, the game has received critical and commercial success, and during the DICE Summit earlier this month, a Disney exec revealed that the company wants more similar games in the future. Now, reports are surfacing online that Respawn and EA are currently developing the sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2.
According to Kotaku, there are two Star Wars projects that are currently in the works. One is a "very unique" new IP that EA Motive confirmed to be in development late last year, while the other is the sequel to Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Of course, given the massive success that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order received since its launch last year, it is unsurprising that EA would want a follow up to that game.

Unfortunately, the report didn't go into detail on specific details about the rumored sequel. However, the fact that the report refers to the project as a sequel rather than a new IP means that it will be likely a follow up to the 2019 game. Of course, given that no official confirmation has been made so far, fans should take this information with a grain of salt.

Another event that supports the rumor of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 occurred last December when EA posted a job listing that hinted that the studio is working on the sequel. According to the job listing, EA is looking for an experienced software engineer to join the Star Wars team in Los Angeles. The listing reads, "We're picturing someone who is passionate about the Star Wars Universe, and is invigorated by the idea of coding third-person action/adventure games." Although the listing didn't specify the game in development, many assumed that it is for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Last year's release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order surprised fans and critics with just how good the game was. EA's two previous games that are set in the Star Wars universe were not as well-received by fans and critics. Star Wars: Battlefront was ridiculed for its lack of content and expensive Season Pass, while Star Wars: Battlefront II was also criticized for the same reasons, especially with its heavy reliance on the controversial Loot Box system.
Given this, expectations for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order were low, but luckily, the game proved to be a smashing success. Ever since its release, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has sold over 8 million copies, which exceeded EA's sales projections of 6 million. The game also received mostly positive reviews across the board and earned a 79 rating average on Metacritic for the PS4, and 80 for the Xbox One.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Rumored To Be In Development

One of PlayStation's longest-running franchise is Gran Turismo, known for pushing the envelope in terms of graphics and showcasing the power of Sony's various home consoles. The next Gran Turismo game is presumably coming to the PlayStation 5, and as expected, it's set to be a visual showcase for what the PlayStation 5 is capable of.
Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi recently spoke about Gran Turismo's future to Australian media. While the resolution for the next Gran Turismo may be 4k, the new game is possibly aiming for a significantly improved frame rate. "Rather than a spatial resolution that you're talking about, I'm more interested in the advancements we can make in terms of the time resolution. In terms of frames per second, rather than staying at 60 fps, I'm more interested in raising it to 120 fps or even 240 fps. I think that's what's going to be changing the experience from here on forward."

Considering the fact that most current-generation video games are just 30-60 frames per second, this would be a significant leap, and a testament to the PS5's horsepower. This would have obvious benefits for racing games like Gran Turismo, and while 240 fps would be most impressive, it's safe to say many fans would be satisfied with 120 fps that Yamauchi is interested in.

It should be noted that Yamauchi is not necessarily talking about the next entry in the Gran Turismo series when he mentions this frame rate goal. It's possible that Yamauchi is referring to a Gran Turismo game that would be further down the line, maybe even for Sony's next console following the PlayStation 5. However, industry analysts have predicted that the PS5 will be capable of 240 fps, so anything is possible.
As for when fans may get their first look at the next Gran Turismo, that remains to be seen. One of the prevailing PS5 rumors is that the next Gran Turismo is a launch title and will be revealed alongside the new console.
Sony is rumored to be revealing the PS5 in March, though nothing official has been announced. If so, it makes sense for the company to utilize Gran Turismo as a way to show off the PS5's power, but racing game fans should keep their expectations in check.

Gran Turismo on PS5 Possibly Aiming for 240 Frames Per Second

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare receives playlist updates on a weekly basis, and next week will be no different. In the latest community update, Infinity Ward has revealed some of the new content that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can look forward to next week, though stopped short of providing a specific release date.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that next week's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare playlist update will add a new Gunfight variant in the form of 3v3 Snipers on Rust. The game previously had a 3v3 Gunfight Snipers only mode, but not for the recently released MW2 map Rust.

Speaking of Gunfight, fans of the game mode also have to look forward to a new map coming to game next week. Originally meant to launch alongside Modern Warfare season 2, the new Gunfight map Bazaar will be added to the rotation with the next playlist update. Based on what we've seen of the map so far, it seems like Bazaar is going to have more of a vertical element to its map design than most other Gunfight maps, which could be interesting.

Ground War is also getting some love with the next Modern Warfare playlist update. Infinity Ward will be adding Infantry Ground War to the game, which is a variant that gets rid of tanks and APCs. Regular Ground War will still be available to players who prefer to play with vehicles, however.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans also have double XP to take advantage of this weekend. Double XP is live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare right now and fans can utilize it to rise through the ranks at a much quicker pace than usual.
Looking ahead, there's even more content coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Future updates will continue to add Season 2 content to the game, including new maps, game modes, and more, like the long-awaited Infected Ground War match type. Specific release details on this new content is unavailable at the time of this writing, but expect Infinity Ward to share more information sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, Modern Warfare fans also have the Warzone battle royale mode to look forward to as well. Needless to say, there should be plenty to keep Modern Warfare players engaged with the game in the weeks to come.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Adding New Map and Gunfight Variant Next Week

Apart from an amazing mod in Pokémon Sword and Shield, Digimon fans haven't had many good video games lately. Bandai Namco Entertainment is hoping to change that with the upcoming survival strategy role-playing game Digimon Survive, an RPG that will feature multiple endings, with player choices influencing the direction of the story.
Bandai Namco has recently posted some new information and screenshots from Digimon Survive, introducing a new character named Shuji Kayama and his partner Lopmon. Bandai Namco also shared some information on a new gameplay system centered around the in-game smartphone camera.

Bandai Namco, the same publisher that released Digimon ReArise globally in 2019, describes Shuji as a "kind, gentle, and nice person" who everyone else trusts. The other characters consider him a dependable leader until they get lost in another world. That's when the others discover that he tends to prioritize enthusiasm over stamina and blames other people and the environment when things go wrong. This might be partially due to his upbringing, feeling pressure from his strict father's educational policy and brilliant older brother.

His partner Digimon is Lopmon, who should look familiar to fans of Digimon Tamers. Lopmon is a Beast-type monster that looks very similar to Terriermon, but with three horns on its head instead of just one. Its innocent and youthful personality clash with Shuji's more ambitious personality, who just sees the Digimon as lazy and neglects it. This not only makes the cute little Digimon lonely but could easily push Shuji to be the most hated character in the game.

ưBandai Namco also took this time to talk about how the smartphone camera would be used in-game. Early in the game, one of the characters notices their camera screen getting jammed by noise. Apparently, there are things in the Digital World that can't be seen with the naked eye and can only be detected with electrical devices. During gameplay, players can use their camera to investigate suspicious places and find keys, items, and even monsters hidden in the area.

Already Digimon Survive looks to be in a whole different league from previous games released in the franchise. Bandai Namco is really pushing the importance of player choice in the game, warning that wrong choices will lead to characters being killed off. The gameplay is divided into different genres, being part text adventure, part survival, and part tactical RPG. If this new game and the Digimon anime reboot do well, then it will once again be a great time to be a Digimon fan.

Digimon Survive Screenshots Introduce Shuji and Lopmon

In its weekly blog post developer Bungie gave Destiny 2 fans some highlights from the upcoming balance patch that will accompany next season’s update. Within the patch notes preview were a lot of nerfs (and a handful of buffs), but the one that stood out is a big nerf to sniper rifles.
According to Bungie, Destiny 2 players have grown to rely too heavily on sniper rifles for their long distance utility. Players spent too much time sitting back and picking off enemies from afar and could do so with ease thanks to the damage output of sniper rifles in Season of Dawn.

To curb that use, Bungie will be nerfing Destiny 2 sniper rifles back to their pre-Shadowkeep numbers, which amounts to a 20% damage nerf. On top of that, the precision modifier has been lowered on adaptive sniper rifle frames and rapid fire snipers have had their base damage reduced.
Alongside the overall sniper rifle nerfs, Bungie also targeted one of the most popular DPS weapons in Destiny 2: Izanagi’s Burden. First, the Season 10 update will swap out Izanagi’s Outlaw perk with ‘No Distractions’ to better favor the DPS nature of the weapon. But the bigger change is that the reload stat will no longer affect the speed that Izanagi’s Burden can chamber its Honed Edge bullet.
Without playing the update first-hand, it’s hard to know how these changes will impact the use of sniper rifles in Destiny 2, but content creator Ehroar has provided a video showing just how significant these nerfs are. He breaks down the new damage numbers and DPS of each sniper rifle archetype compared to what they are now, and overall it does not look good.

It may sound like a broken record to talk about Destiny 2 and unnecessary nerfs, but that is also a running theme with Bungie as of late. Weapon types and specific weapons get overused in certain content and Bungie decides that a nerf is necessary. Usually the patch includes some rationale behind the change, but it does little to ease players’ frustrations at seeing some of their favorite weapons nerfed.
Where sniper rifles in Destiny 2 are concerned there is already a debate in the Destiny 2 community as to why the weapon type is favored. Most disagree with Bungie’s assessment and see these nerfs as a way to change up play styles rather than create balance.

Destiny 2 Video Shows How Bad the Sniper Rifle Nerf Will Be

There are few games as highly anticipated as Grand Theft Auto 6, with its predecessor Grand Theft Auto 5 being the third highest-selling video game of all time. Ever since the release of the fifth installment back in September of 2013, fans have patiently awaited the return of Grand Theft Autobut have not been given any indication of when they might see it. Though, Rockstar may have inadvertently provided its fans with a clue to the game's development.
Grand Theft Auto is one of video gaming's most successful and long-lasting franchises. Since its initial release back in 1997, the series has sold well over 280 million copies worldwide over the span of multiple games, making it the fourth highest-selling video game franchise of all time. In fact, Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to be downloaded and played by new players a full seven years after its initial release.

That being said, seven years is an incredibly long time to wait for a new installment, and fans have started to get restless. Though, in the past year alone, there have been numerous rumors and leaks floating around regarding the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. The latest news regarding the highly anticipated title comes in the form of a job posting on Rockstar Games' career page.
Rockstar recently posted a job application on their career page for a Technical Build Engineer. A position that requires experience with various programming languages and excellent communication skills. Though, something to note is that the job description mentions that the candidate will "work closely with developers and QA to ensure builds are stable upon release." This strongly implies that Rockstar is working on a new project and requires additional staff. This job listing does appear to coincide with what Rockstar mentioned at the beginning of the year in terms of expecting Grand Theft Auto news.
Nothing about this job post necessarily guarantees that Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto 6, it just means that they require a Technical Build Engineer. That's ultimately the problem with Grand Theft Auto 6 at this point in time. There's just too much fan speculation and theorizing without actually hearing anything concrete from Rockstar itself. Right now, there's not much fans can really do except wait for Rockstar to give an official response.
That being said, there has been a lot of support in terms of official Grand Theft Auto 6 news, especially the leak regarding the former Rockstar employee. 2020 will mark the seventh year since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 so Rockstar has certainly taken its sweet time getting to this point. Hopefully, when it comes time for the company to deliver, fans will not be disappointed.

Rockstar Job Listing May Point to Grand Theft Auto 6

Fortnite is trending on Twitter again for somewhat of a controversial reason. This time around, Fortnite is trending because of the continued argument over SBMM,  or skill-based matchmaking, a controversial topic in Fortnite, both due to frustrations with the system and general misinformation about what it does. Nevertheless, that hasn't stopped many Fortnite players from going to Twitter to argue both for and against the continued implementation of SBMM in the battle royale with the hashtag #removeSBMM.
Epic Games added  SBMM in late September 2019 to provide a more fair and fun environment for playing games. The more Fortnite players play, the more accurate their skill-rating is. Fortnite then uses this skill-rating to match players with others of similar skill level. The goal is to give every player a reasonably fair chance at winning, or at least to avoid players either completely dominating or getting dominated.

Complaints regarding SBMM fall into a handful of categories. One large group specifically prefers matchmaking without SBMM, saying that good players dominating bad players is fun and bad players getting dominated helps them get better. This is a common stance for Twitch streamers and Youtubers, so it reaches a surprisingly large audience. Another group believes SBMM is broken, particularly with regards to cross-play. A low-skill controller player matched with a low-skill keyboard and mouse player will still be disadvantaged, according to this group.

Many of the complaints come from players who are confused about how SBMM works. The cross-play group is one of these confused factions, as there's no reason to believe keyboard and mouse players are treated any differently than console players. Others seem to believe that SBMM actually makes matchmaking even less fair.
Much of the confusion can likely be attributed to Twitch streamers and YouTubers. Complaints from many sources tend to be high on drama and frustration but low on detail. For example, Ninja was previously quoted as saying "SBMM is not the answer." A portion of Ninja's viewers probably assumed he was right, regardless of the context.
Epic Games has made no indication that it plans to make big changes to its matchmaking system in Fortnite. That doesn't mean that it won't make changes, though. Epic has made dramatic changes in the past with little to no build-up. But, for its part, it seems like Epic Games is happy with the situation. And it seems like most Fortnite players are pretty happy with the changes, too, regardless of what's trending on Twitter.

Some Fortnite Players Are Not Happy About SBMM

In the absence of official word from Nintendo, plenty of rumors and supposed leaks concerning The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 have appeared online. Perhaps one of the biggest is the Bond of the Triforce rumor that declares that to be the title, as well as there being dungeons in which Link and Zelda must cooperate to complete. The latest rumor doesn't contradict this one and even spells out some interesting details regarding its story, gameplay, and primary antagonist.
According to this supposed leak, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will take place immediately after the first game, with Link and Zelda attempting to rebuild Hyrule while facing a new threat. There will be flashback sequences and memories, much like the first game, but these are said to be before Link slept for 100 years and goes even further back than the original. The source indicates that these memories are "very Godfather Part II-esque," but didn't go into further detail.

The source also indicated that Ganon will not make any sort of return in Breath of the Wild 2, though this doesn't make a ton of sense as a direct sequel. There are some that believe Zant, the antagonist from Twilight Princess, is behind it all, but the mummified creature certainly appears like Ganon. If true, this would likely disappoint fans of the rehydrated Ganon meme, though.

Of course, the real question is how accurate this "leak" truly is. The Redditor who posted it, u/BobisTheWise, claims that their source has been accurate before, describing them as spot-on in regards to Xenoblade 2 a full year prior to its release. But even if this source can be believed, BobisTheWise cannot be truly. It's the only post from user on Reddit and so the source itself could be made up.
As such, and will all rumors regarding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, it's best to take this with a hefty dose of salt. It seems to be fake and likely guesswork, as nothing here seems as substantial as it is described. That said, stranger things have happened than one-off rumors being true, so fans should wait and see what Nintendo has to say about the game, hopefully sooner rather than later.

New Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Gameplay and Story Details Leak Online

When looking at files labeled IN-WORLD and MAP ICONS, there appear to be files that are labeled as ERIDIAN GATE OPEN and ERIDIAN GATE CLOSED that have a direct relation to the Diamond loot chest. According to DelusionPhantom, they state that Tannis has some cut audio in which she references some Eridian Gates that contain the same icon in the files as the Diamond loot chest icon.

In the files, there appear to be leaks of other cut content, such as vehicles that may come to the game at a later time, as well as information about an upcoming DLC for Borderlands 3. There isn't much else at the moment to conclude what the Diamond chest is or what it may do, but it does sound interesting.
If the leaks actually turn into officially implemented features, maybe the Diamond loot chest will have at least one guaranteed legendary for the player. Going even further, maybe the chest can be a cool reward for beating a tough activity that drops a guaranteed anointed legendary item to use.
Although nothing is confirmed at the moment, the Diamond loot chest could be another endgame loot source for players to have an easier time creating a build for their vault hunter. There are plenty of more hidden goodies that DelusionPhantom notices in the Borderlands 3 files if players wish to check out their post. For those who wish to wait for official info, there will be a Gearbox panel at PAX East where they may potentially speak about the second main DLC for Borderlands 3.

Borderlands 3 Might Add Diamond Key and Chest

The class' other abilities included jokes, ventriloquism, and puns, among others. All in all, it seems like a weird take on the Bard class, though with inverted Charisma. It is strange that a Jester– a profession that so obviously needs Charisma– would go without it, but Dungeons and Dragons can be strange. Plus, it does kind of play on the "creepy clown" thing.

Dungeons and Dragons has changed quite a bit since the game's inception, and it's weird to get a glance at what the game once was, especially through a modern lens. Nowadays, the Jester would be a weird, though effective, character, but one with an unmatched ability to disrupt a campaign in the wrong hands, so it may not be the best thing to introduce to a rowdy bunch of players.
On the other hand, Dungeon Masters looking to spice up a campaign may be able to adapt the class to their campaign. After all, a creepy jester character would be a good fit for a horror campaign, or even as an NPC that pops in now and again. The beauty of Dungeons and Dragons is that it falls on whatever the DM wants to create for a campaign.
Likely, other obscure classes are hiding out there somewhere, but the Jester is likely still one of the more interesting. Maybe, more like it will pop up in the future.

Emslie responded to the comment by confirming that not only is Infinity Ward going to fix the Modern Warfare green dot glitch, but it will also be implementing the "clear all" feature. This way players should be able to manually look at everything and make the green dots go away, but those uninterested can still get rid of the green dots without having to look at the new content.

In the meantime, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players will be holding out hope for the developers to implement other fixes to the game. The February 19 update has appeared to cause a variety of problems for fans, including an Activision friends list glitch as well as perks simply not working as intended. While the Modern Warfare green dot not going away is definitely annoying for some players, fixing things like the perks seems like it will be a more pressing issue.
Plus, Infinity Ward has much more than just bug fixes in the pipeline for Call of Duty: Modern WarfareModern Warfare season 2 will be adding new maps, modes, weapons, and more in the coming weeks, plus the Warzone battle royale mode is on the way as well.
Warzone battle royale is likely to have its own problems, especially around launch, but hopefully Infinity Ward is quick to address those issues as they pop up. In the meantime, here's hoping a fix for the Modern Warfare green dot bug comes sooner rather than later.

Additionally, the trailer shows off Mina's animal companion, Chample – a creature she recovered from the wreckage of her destroyed village. While Chample primarily plays the role of a mascot, seldom joining in on a fight, some players will still be happy to see the cute critter rendered for the latest installment in this popular fighting game franchise.

Mina Majikina will be available to Samurai Shodown players beginning Wednesday, February 26, and she can be purchased for $6. That said, players that are interested in gaining access to even more DLC characters may prefer to simply buy the Samurai Shodown Season Pass 2, which is available for $20 and contains Mina and three other fighters. Sogetsu Kazama and Iroha are two of these three additional characters, and the fourth is unknown at this time.
Furthermore, the release dates for the Season 2 fighters beyond Mina are not currently confirmed, though it is possible that they will be available prior to Samurai Shodown's appearance at EVO 2020. While there is no guarantee that these characters would make a splash at that particular tournament, they could potentially shift the established metagame and create some truly spectacular moments at the event.

With Season 2, Fortnite added a number of sealed vaults that contain high-tier weapons and items for players to collect, provided they have the keycard needed to unlock the vaults in their inventory. This is pretty much exactly how it's been done in Apex Legends since it introduced vaults back in October, and it’s not the only Apex-ish feature that’s now in Fortnite. In addition to the vaults, players have also taken notice of the game’s new Decoy Grenade, which deploys a clone that can move around and distract opponents, not unlike the Apex character Mirage.
Given how blatant the copying is with these “new” features, the Apex community was quick to notice and welcomed the latest installment of this ongoing saga by poking fun at Epic. All across the Apex Legends subreddit, players have shared a fair number of memes jokingly calling out the developer and accusing it of being unoriginal.

Obviously, though, that’s hardly the case. After all, Fortnite has brought its own share of innovation to the fold. Besides its building/resource gathering mechanics, the game is responsible for popularizing the seasonal models and battle passes more and more games are employing for their post-launch content these days. Sure, Apex may have arguably introduced more substantial gameplay innovations, but that doesn’t change the fact Apex Legends could stand to copy some of Fortnite’s newer features.

This is great news for Sonic fans everywhere as it strongly implies there's a sequel in store for the Blue Blur. With the success of Detective Pikachu, the franchise is already developing its own sequel set to release sometime in 2022. With both Sonic and Pikachu doing so well, it appears that not only are video game movies making a giant comeback, but they're looking to create lasting franchises as well. Sonic appears to be flying past Pikachu's worldwide revenue so it's safe to say fans will be seeing more of Sonic and the rest of the gang in the distant future.

Other top contenders at the box office this weekend include the DC Margot Robbie led film Birds of Prey, which hit $7 million in its third weekend. Following closely behind at $5.9 million is the horror movie Brahms: The Boy II and Bad Boys for Life at $5.8 million. The Oscar-winning film 1917 is still strongly seated in its eleventh week at $4.4 million. All of this to say, Sonic is still leading the pack by a minimum of $19 million and absolutely crushing it in audience and critic reviews.
Sonic the Hedgehog is rated PG for action sequences and can be seen at most major theaters right now.

Along with the inspiring news that Bayonetta 3 is 'developing smoothly', Kamiya also commented on the original development for the series and some of the reasons for early development decisions, like originally being an Xbox 360 exclusive. Supposedly, the reason for the Xbox 360 being chosen was that it was the easiest to develop on at the time, an achievement that PS5 boasts for modern game developers. However, it would seem that those budget restraints aren't as much of an issue now, as Bayonetta 3 is currently being developed for the Nintendo Switch.

Attached to Kamiya's statement about the smooth progress of Bayonetta 3's development, was a small hint for players to look closely at the original teaser trailer from 2017. Perhaps there is something within that short clip that viewers missed on a first glance and still hasn't been discovered by mainstream data divers and speculative fans. This could have something to do with the announcements Kamiya teased would be coming from the game at some point in 2020.
Regardless of teasers and pushes from Kamiya and Inaba to get the hype train rolling for Bayonetta 3, hearing that development is progressing smoothly is great news for the upcoming title. PlatinumGames has a history of getting through development and putting games on shelves, though the company does have some unfortunate titles like Scalebound that never made it to launch. Similarly, with the wave of delays that have already rocked early 2020, any good news from a developer about the progress a game is making is welcome news.
That being said, this isn't exactly a lot to go on, so while the news may be uplifting for now, that still doesn't mean whether or not Bayonetta 3 is slated for 2020 or even further in the future.

Bayonetta 3 Development ‘Progressing Smoothly’

In a string of posts to his Twitter account, chocoTaco called out PUBG's ongoing technical issues. "New patch brought a handful of new bugs as usual," he said, not so subtly hinting at PUBG's seemingly everpresent bugs. He even goes so far as saying that he's "not having fun," which is a surprisingly strong sentiment for a streamer to share on social media.

The big surprise, however, is chocoTaco going so far as to say that he's planning to take a break from playing PUBG. "Loads of issues never get addressed. It's hard to enjoy the game a lot of the time," is part of what chocoTaco says on his second tweet on the subject. "Whenever this COD BR launches I will be taking a break from PUBG."
chocoTaco is referencing the rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare spin-off battle royale. Leaks have revealed that it's named Warzone and could potentially be announced or release within the next month or two. It would certainly provide ChacoTaco at least an opportunity to stop playing PUBG while retaining his current Twitch subscriber numbers.
The takeaway is that PUBG, years after it first became available to play, is at the very least struggling in the west, though it's still otherwise one of the most popular games in the world. It's not that players don't still love it, or that the competition has provided a superior product, given the unique style of PUBG. It's that dealing with PUBG's constant technical issues has exhausted even its most strident supporters– chocoTaco is just the latest example. Perhaps PUBG can pull itself together, but given its success despite the frustration of western Steam users, there's no reason to expect any change.
