It seems safe to say that, after a rocky start, Mortal Kombat 11's first Kombat Pack has been a big hit. With the likes of Sindel, Terminator, and most recently the Joker (among others) each being a superb addition to the roster, Mortal Kombat 11 is in even better shape now than when it launched, and that's saying something. There's no such thing as a perfect game, but there is such thing as a great game that continuously gets better, and that's where this gory-fighting game falls.
However, that's not to say that Mortal Kombat 11 is any where near complacency; in fact, with Mortal Kombat 11's Spawn releasing soon, many are curious as to how the first Kombat Pack will end. And it seems like it will be with a major hit, if past releases and the hype around Spawn is any indication.
MK11 Spawn Release Date |
MK 11 Kombat Pack owners will get their hands on Spawn first starting March 17, with the full release happening on March 24. That means, as of the time of this writing, it's only a month until the full release, 3 weeks or so until the Kombat Pack release, and roughly 2 weeks until the first gameplay trailer is shown. And as the old idiom goes, "time flies when you're having fun," so for Mortal Kombat 11 fans, it's likely the time will fly by prior to Spawn's release.
It'll be interesting to see how Spawn plays into the greater world of Mortal Kombat 11's meta tier list, how he got into the world in the first place, and what his style of gameplay is, but that's not to say the hype train ends with Spawn.
MK11 Kombat Pack 2 |
Right now, it's all but officially confirmed that Fujin, Sheeva, and Ash Williams from the Evil Dead will be included. Other MK11 Kombat Pack 2 rumors suggest that any of the following could be included: Halloween's Michael Myers, Stryker, Havik, or Takeda. It's worth taking these last few characters with a grain of salt, as while the first three mentioned come from a reliable pre-release leak, these others have only surfaced recently.
Either way, while Spawn may be the end of the first Kombat Pack, he can also be seen as the leader who will set the tone for Kombat Pack 2. With Spawn's MK11 release date right around the corner, the future seems bright...from a gory and hellish perspective, that is.
